Job summary

RTX is seeking a precision technician to test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical systems. You'll analyze data, isolate problems between test environments and units, and validate procedures, working from schematics and drawings.

This on-site, 3rd shift role is based in Forest, MS, requiring independent work and strong reporting of failure modes.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or AA/AS degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience testing electronic circuits and identifying failure trends.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install diverse electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical systems.
• Observe, analyze, and report test data; perform repairs as needed.
• Work from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings; isolate problems between test environment and units.
• Validate procedure correctness.
• Set up and operate engineering and scientific equipment.
• Generate failure entries linking failure modes to test specs.
• Interpret test data to determine pass/fail and need for further analysis.
• Work independently to complete production/acceptance tests and meet goals.

What You Will Do

• Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment.
• Observes, analyzes, and reports test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment.
• Work closely from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings Ability to isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary.
• Ability to validate the correctness of procedures.
• Selects, sets up and operates engineering and scientific equipment.
• Effectively communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s).
• Ability to interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to determine pass/fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed.
• This position requires technicians to work independently to complete production/acceptance test to interpret pass/fail data to achieve production goals.
• This position requires lifting, walking, and could involve stair/ladder climbing at the test range(s) This will be a 3rd shift, onsite role in our Forest, MS facility.

Qualifications

You Must Have HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Experience testing electronic circuits and/or identifying failure trends.

Qualifications

We Prefer Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) communications or power systems. Experience with RF System and subsystem (Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Signal/Data Processor, Power Supply) evaluation.

The salary range for this role is 39,100 USD - 74,300 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
