Job summary

RTX is seeking a test engineer to conduct functional and performance testing on electronic and mechanical systems at our Chesapeake, VA site. You will troubleshoot issues, document procedures, and collaborate with engineering to improve test processes, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role is onsite on the first shift, requiring a HS Diploma/AA/AS with 4+ years of relevant experience and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS with 2-year post high school training and minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a testing environment.
  • Experience with testing equipment and software.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

What You Will Do

This is a 1st shift, onsite position.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a testing environment.
  • Experience with testing equipment and software.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience producing presentations of status, issues, and actions.
  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electronic systems and equipment at a component level using schematics, test equipment and technical procedures.

  • The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
