Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support the CCM High Mix production floor on the 3rd shift in Andover, MA. You will train test operators, troubleshoot test equipment, and analyze production failures to prevent recurrences.

The role requires a STEM Bachelor's degree, 2+ years in RF testing, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Onsite work with a 12% shift differential and comprehensive benefits.

This is a 3rd shift role which includes a 12% shift differential. In this role, you will support the 3rd shift production floor of CCM High Mix area in a test engineering capacity. This includes, but is not limited to, training test operators, troubleshooting test equipment and production hardware, and analyzing systemic production failures.

What You Will Do
  • Interact with Test Operators, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, and operations staff to support production testing, requiring effective organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to support production testing.
  • Assist with troubleshooting failures on CCAs by performing data analysis and visual inspections.
  • Identify trends in defects and collaborate with the appropriate teams to resolve issues in a timely manner to prevent future build process defects.
  • May participate in new test set builds.
  • Support test equipment coordination between internal customers.
  • Maintain and improve production test procedures as well as provide inputs on production procedures across the production floor.
  • Contribute to the integration of process improvements into production workflows.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with RF testing equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and/or mechanical issues.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience preparing and executing procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using general test equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information.
  • Familiarity with National Instruments (NI) software tools, such as LabVIEW, TestStand, and NI MAX.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
