Job summary

RTX seeks a technical professional to test, troubleshoot, repair, and install a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical systems at our Forest, MS facility. Candidates must have 4+ years of experience with electronic testing and the ability to isolate issues using schematics and test procedures.

The role requires RF knowledge and the ability to interpret test data to determine pass/fail. It is a 3rd shift onsite position with potential for career growth within RTX.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience testing electronic circuits and identifying failure trends.
• RF communications or RF system evaluation experience.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment.
• Isolate problems between test environment and units under test and resolve.
• Validate procedures and operate engineering and scientific equipment.
• Communicate technical issues with comprehensive failure entries linking to test specs.
• Interpret test data to determine pass/fail and when further analysis is needed.
• Work independently to complete production/acceptance tests to meet goals.
• Assist with lifting, walking, and possible stair/ladder climbing at test ranges.
• This will be a 3rd shift, onsite role in Forest, MS facility.

What You Will Do

• Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment. Observes, analyzes, and reports test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment.
• Work closely from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings Ability to isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary.
• Ability to validate the correctness of procedures. Selects, sets up and operates engineering and scientific equipment.
• Effectively communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s).
• Ability to interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to determine pass/fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed.
• This position requires technicians to work independently to complete production/acceptance test to interpret pass/fail data to achieve production goals.
• This position requires lifting, walking, and could involve stair/ladder climbing at the test range(s)

Qualifications You Must Have

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience testing electronic circuits and/or identifying failure trends.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) communications or power systems.
• Experience with RF System and subsystem (Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Signal/Data Processor, Power Supply) evaluation.

The salary range for this role is 39,100 USD - 74,300 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
