Job summary

ALVEST is seeking a Test Technician in Windsor, CT to monitor test procedures and equipment in production, ensuring high-quality outcomes. The role is 2nd shift, 3:00pm–11:30pm, with overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of related experience, can read drawings, handle tools, and perform electrical/hydraulics troubleshooting. High school diploma required; EPA refrigerant certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience in test/production environments.
• Ability to read drawings and measuring scales.
• Move safely over uneven terrain and through restricted spaces.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, A/C and diesel engine applications.
• EPA 40 CFR 82 Subpart F refrigerants handling certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review product specs and blueprints for scheduled work assignments.
• Prepare units for test with fluids, install test instruments, and pre-set controls.
• Check units wiring and flows using the documentation.
• Test units using the proper documents and test equipment.
• Record and calculate data.
• Perform final run on units.
• Prepare unit for shipment and test related items.
• Maintain a daily time log of work.
• Other assignments as directed by supervisor.
