POSITION SUMMARY
The Test Technician is responsible for monitoring test procedures and equipment within production and manufacturing to produce high quality products. The ideal candidate must be able to work 8 hours per day and 5 days per week with punctuality in addition to working overtime as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties may be assigned)
- Review product specs and blueprints for scheduled work assignments.
- Prepare units for test to include filling fluids, installing test instruments, and pre-setting controls.
- Check units’ wiring and flows using the proper documentation.
- Test units using the proper documents and test equipment.
- Record and calculate data.
- Perform final run on units as assigned.
- Prepare unit for shipment, and test related items.
- Responsible for good housekeeping of individual work area.
- Responsible for maintaining a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
- Other assignments as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or higher supervisor/s.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- 2 years of related experience, and a broad knowledge of the section and the operation of machines, equipment, and tools that will be used in the satisfactory performance of duties.
- Ability to use, read, and interprets drawings and measuring scale or tape proficiently.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain as well as restricted spaces.
- The ability to climb ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.
- The ability to work in and around areas with limited space.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting Hydraulics, Air Conditioning, and Diesel Engine applications.
- Certified to handle refrigerants per EPA 40 CFR 82 Subpart F prior to use – type 2 or universal, preferred but not required.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent.
1st shift hours: 6:30am-3pm Monday-Friday
2nd shift hours: 3pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday (7% shift differential for 2nd shift)
