Job summary

Kinetic Personnel Group seeks a Test Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on electrical testing, troubleshooting, and verification of power supply equipment and related assemblies to meet engineering and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will read schematics and wiring diagrams, operate electrical test equipment, and document results with attention to detail. This is a full-time, on-site position in a manufacturing environment in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or electrical/electronics education is a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in electrical testing, electronics, power supplies, or related field.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and basic electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test electrical and functional performance of power supplies, switchboards, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Set up and operate electrical test equipment, meters, power supplies, and diagnostic instruments.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Perform voltage, current, continuity, resistance, and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify defective components, wiring, and assemblies.
• Document test results and complete required production and quality records.
• Identify test failures and work with manufacturing and engineering teams to determine corrective actions.
• Perform rework or minor repairs when necessary.
