Job summary

Multilink in Elyria, OH is seeking an Electrical/Power Test Technician responsible for following detailed work instructions to test power units before leaving the Power Department, ensuring product performance and adherence to customer and quality standards.

You will document test values, read PCB schematics, troubleshoot with supervisors and other technicians, operate meters and oscilloscopes, and maintain accurate records in support of 5S and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Must interpret PCB schematics and assembly drawings.
• IPC-610 or equivalent certification.
• MEMS-related degree or higher.
• Experience with ESD control program.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Strong attention to details and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Test units following detailed work instructions and document results.
• Identify failure points and troubleshoot with supervisor.
• Read schematics to diagnose issues.
• Operate test equipment (multimeters, scopes) and report malfunctions.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and 5S practices.
• Support the Power Dept as needed.

Electrical/Power Test TechnicianSummary: The test technician is responsible for following detailed work instructions to test units prior to leaving the Power Department to ensure product performance in compliance with customer and quality standards. This includes documenting test values per customer specifications and reading electrical schematics to troubleshoot failures in collaboration with supervisor and other technicians.Key Job Responsibilities:Inspects and tests completed units to ensure functionality and adherence to product specificationsIdentifies failure points and collaborates with supervisor and solder repair technicians to troubleshoot unitsCommunicates test procedure concerns with supervisorApply fundamental electrical concepts to diagnose unit failuresReads PCB schematics and assembly drawingsFollows step-by-step work instructions to complete tests on a variety of products and records accuratelyUses various test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes and reports any equipment malfunctions with supervisorFamiliar with basic hand tools and power toolsMaintains accurate test records and documentationMaintains and clean and safe work area by participating in 5S practicesAll other duties as assigned by management.Education and Experience:IPC-610 or equivalent certificationMicro-electromechanical systems associate’s degree or higherExperience with ESD control programAbility to interpret blueprints/shop drawing aids.Understands and supports company policies and procedures.Excellent AttendanceBackground check deemed acceptable by companySit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.High mental and visual acuity while in coordination with manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.Work Site Environment:Ability to work in a 55 – 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.
