Job summary

X-energy is seeking a test engineer to plan, develop, and execute test systems for advanced reactor technologies at our Gaithersburg facility. You will coordinate with system design engineers to mature prototype X-energy technologies, design test plans, and manage data reporting across the hardware lifecycle.

Role involves collaboration with Safety, Health and Environment, hands-on testing, and potential work in a controlled facility laboratory.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware development, testing, and experimentation.
• Experience with design of experiments and test planning.
• Strong collaboration with engineering, SHE, and safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test systems and configurations with engineering teams.
• Lead test plan/procedure/documentation and data reporting.
• Support in-person test setup, installation, and commissioning at the test facility.
• Maintain safety, quality, and process discipline during testing.
