Job summary

X Energy, LLC is seeking an engineer to design mechanical systems and components for nuclear products. You will develop concepts, perform analyses, and verifications to ensure performance and safety throughout production, including prototyping and commissioning.

The role emphasizes CAD-modeling, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineers, suppliers, and project leads, in a hands-on development environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with engineering hand calculations is required.
• Experience with CAD/PLM software is required.
• Hands-on experience developing hardware or manufacturing processes in production environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical/physical concepts and SSCs for nuclear products with a focus on safety.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify requirements, interfaces, and design criteria.
• Perform analyses to ensure SSCs meet technical requirements and design criteria.
• Create CAD models of reactor SSCs and integrate design activities across teams.
