Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to manage service project design and coordination across internal groups and external suppliers.

You will diagnose and fix complex issues in hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and support on-site at customer locations in North America. The role requires 3–4 years of engineering experience in automation or automotive contexts, strong drawing-reading skills (DIN/ISO), and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related engineering field
• 3–4 years of professional engineering experience in a technical sales or service environment (automation/automotive)
• Experience with controls engineering and software/hardware for electric drive systems or sensor applications
• Ability to read engineering drawings/prints in DIN/ISO format (metric)
• English language competency – both oral and written
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Manage the service project design, implementation and coordination of service activities with internal teams and suppliers
• Perform fault/root-cause analysis for hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, electrical, or mechanical issues; determine resources for resolution
• Diagnose, repair, maintain, install, and rebuild test systems on-site and at customer sites
• Replace motors, pumps, belts, wiring, controls, and related components
• Tear down and test valves, pumps, and related components; rewire controls as needed
• Develop cost elements and pricing models for spare parts and service activities
• Provide technical guidance in commissioning, service support and upgrading of test systems (North American region)
• Develop technical processes for optimized service, maintenance, calibration and upgrading of test systems
