Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Service Mechanical Engineer to deliver engineering support across North and South America. You will design, analyze, test, and troubleshoot mechanical components, create technical documentation, and assist field teams with complex issues across multiple sites.

The role includes travel and field surveys to support legacy equipment, improve processes, and provide training to mechanics and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master's with relevant experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple engineering projects and priorities.
• Knowledge of design and drafting practices, GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD).
• Experience in manufacturing environments and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage moderately complex engineering projects across disciplines.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for current production and legacy components.
• Troubleshoot components and systems for field service and maintenance.
• Design, analyze, inspect, and test parts, assemblies, and systems.
• Create and maintain drawings, specs, and technical docs.
• Develop 3D models and detailed drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Update spare parts documentation and work instructions.
• Investigate failures using root-cause methodologies.
• Support field repair tools and installation activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams.
• Participate in engineering changes and product improvements.
• Provide training and technical support to field staff.
