Job summary

Daikin Applied in Faribault, MN is seeking a test technician for a weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 6:00am–6:30pm) with starting wage $36.15 per hour. You will operate test stands, read schematics, and document test results.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, EPA refrigeration certificate or equivalent, and be able to read, write, and communicate in English. The role offers safety training, 5S, and growth opportunities at a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2-year EPA certificate in A/C Refrigeration or equivalent approved by company

Responsibilities

• Connect and operate test stand unit and adjust controls to meet specifications.
• Identify safe testing amperage and voltage.
• Read schematics and blueprints to ensure proper assembly.
• Use computer test software effectively.
• Complete required test documentation in a timely manner.
• Identify and troubleshoot unit performance issues within electrical & refrigeration systems.
• Communicate test status to team members and supervisors.
• Use tools required to complete the test process.
• Train new members on machines, procedures, safety, quality and production items.
• Maintain the 5S program for a clean work area.
• Follow HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements.
• Identify and rework defective parts to meet quality standards.
• Read/interpret blueprints and specs to determine fabrication and installation methods.
• Use hand tools.
• Operate PIT.
• All other duties as assigned

Your Responsibilities:

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.

The ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

* 2-yeartrade school (EPA) certificate in A/C Refrigeration or equivalent education approved by company
