Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas seeks a dedicated individual for 2nd shift manufacturing roles in Faribault, MN. You will test and assemble components, read schematics, and operate test software to ensure units meet specifications. Training is provided, with 5S and safety guidelines emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
• 2-year trade school certificate in A/C Refrigeration or equivalent approved by company.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Connect and operate test stand unit and adjust controls to meet specifications.
• Locate and identify safe testing amperage and voltage.
• Read schematics and blueprints to ensure proper assembly.
• Use computer test software effectively.
• Complete required test documentation in a timely manner.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve unit performance issues within electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Communicate test process status to team members and supervisors.
• Operate hand tools and basic machines safely.
• Train new team members on machines, procedures and safety practices.
• Maintain 5S at the work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Identify and rework defective pieces to meet quality standards.
• Read blueprints and material specs to determine sequence and methods.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
• All other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Connect andoperatetest stand unit and adjusts controls as necessary to meetspecifications
• Ability tolocateandidentifythe safe testing amperage andvoltage

• Responsible formaintainingthe 5s program to ensure a clean workarea
• Follow and understandHOMESafe, Personal Choice andcompany safety manualrequirements.
• Identifyand rework defective work pieces tocomply withqualitystandards
• Read and interpretblue prints, sketches or product specifications todeterminesequence and methods of fabricating,assemblingand installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements
• Ability to use handtools
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks)
• All other duties asassigned

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• 2-yeartrade school certificate in A/C Refrigeration or equivalent education approved by company
• PreviousManufacturing experience(preferred)
