The Coordinator, Code of Conduct is a full time professional staff member reporting to the Dean of Students and Compliance Officer. The Coordinator serves as a student conduct administrator and/or investigator in cases of allegations of violations of the Code of Student Conduct for individual students and student organizations and works closely with the Dean to coordinate all aspects of the Code of Conduct Office. The Code of Conduct Office supports a safe and productive learning environment for the community, establishes college policies that define behavioral standards for all students, and operates a fair hearing process. In doing so, our mission is to guide student learning on appropriate behavior, civility, and ethical decision making. The Coordinator, Code of Conduct is dedicated to the learning college concepts by coordinating programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative work environment with faculty, staff, students and other campus constituents. Strong written/verbal communication skills and organizational skills. Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills; the ability to think strategically to determine the most effective use of resources. Knowledge of government regulations that pertain to students including FERPA , Title IX, Clery, VAWA . Knowledge of basic computer programs, Microsoft Office, and conduct software (e.g. Maxient, Symplicity, PAVE , etc.). Demonstrated sensitivity to the concerns and needs of a diverse student population. Ability to speak Spanish or Arabic is preferred. Ability to work with confidential files and information. Excellent conflict resolution skills with a track record demonstrating dedication to college values, including respect, diversity, fairness, integrity, equity and inclusion.
