Job summary

Oklahoma State University’s Campus Life division seeks a Coordinator of Student Conduct to uphold the Student Code of Conduct and guide students and organizations through adjudication processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate students and organizations by upholding the Student Code of Conduct and guiding conduct processes.
  • Provide guidance to students by offering tools to grow through evaluation, referral and educational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure consistent conduct practices and outcomes.

Hiring Range

$46,200 - $63,000/Salary

The Coordinator of Student Conduct supports students and organizations by holding them accountable for nonacademic behavior that violates the Student Code of Conduct or Student Organization Code of Conduct. This accountability is done through a lens of care that acknowledges the student’s dignity and preserves their rights. Through evaluation, referral, and educational outcomes, the Coordinator provides guidance to students by providing them with tools to grow by focusing on their ownership of choices, recognition of impact, and commitment to community.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in related field such as education, higher education, psychology, human development, counseling, leadership, social work (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date).
  • Minimum one year full-time experience in adjudicating higher education student conduct cases. Two years in a graduate assistantship may substitute for one year of experience.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Knowledgeable about and/or skills in college student development and educational best practices and principles.
  • High degree of personal/professional integrity, respect for privacy and confidentiality, and a demonstrated sense of ethics.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and coordinatenumerousdetailed tasks as well as proven success with working on a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with populations ofdifferent backgroundsand life experiences.
  • Demonstrated asset-based thinking skills when working with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to reframe complex situations to put forward plans of action with deliverables.
  • The proven ability to collaborate successfully with multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years experience adjudicating student conduct cases. Familiarity with Title IX and compliance with Federal laws and guidance.
