Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools in Ashburn, Virginia is hiring a part-time Test Proctor to administer designated assessments, monitor students, and ensure a compliant testing environment. The role supports the Teaching and Learning Office and reports to the Department Supervisor.

The position is a non-benefited, hourly, banded-rate role with no minimum hours guaranteed. Immediate starting date and a flexible schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with common exam practices and procedures is expected.
• Willingness to follow all protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares classrooms prior to assessment administration, with custodial and administrative support as needed.
• Records test-taker attendance as requested and affirms test taker identities.
• Administers designated assessment(s), to include instructions, per the vendor requirements.
• Provides any appropriate materials needed during the assessment administration, to include specific student assessment accommodations, and ensures only approved materials are used during the exam.
• Monitors test-takers to prevent cheating.
• Follows prescribed protocols and reports any suspicious activity according to protocols.
• Collects and organizes assessments as they are finished and/or at the end of the allotted time, storing them securely and returning them as directed.
• Provides technical assistance during testing, as needed.

Job Overview

The Testing Proctor will be responsible for administering a designated assessment in compliance with vendor requirements and monitoring students during testing. This position will stand watch to prevent cheating and ensure a compliant, safe, and fair environment and to ensure accurate results.
