Job summary

Trax International in Dahlgren, VA is seeking an Engineer, Journeyman to support RDT&E of weapons systems at the Potomac River Test Range. The role involves applying engineering principles, coordinating with Data Acquisition Engineers, and delivering analytical results and documentation.

The position requires a BS in a technical field and 3 years of design, test, and evaluation experience, with strong T&E methodologies and teamwork abilities. On-site work at Dahlgren Navy Base.

Qualifications

• BS degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Three (3) years of experience in design, engineering, test and evaluation of weapon systems components, subsystems, and systems.
• Solid foundation in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer, or systems engineering principles.
• Strong understanding of T&E methodologies and techniques.
• Experience in using test equipment and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for a TE environment.
• Proven ability to think critically and solve complex problems within the TE process.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles to support the RDT&E of weapons systems.
• Performs engineering tasks across disciplines including control systems, electronics, power, instrumentation, RF, mechanical, and aerospace.
• Coordinates with Data Acquisition Engineers to define instrumentation and measurement requirements.
• Plans for and manages classified requirements and data above the Secret level.
• Produces technical reports and documentation communicating project progress and outcomes.
