Job summary

Trax International is seeking an Engineer, Journeyman - Data Acquisition and Analysis for the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR). The role focuses on planning instrumentation for RDT&E of weapons systems, evaluating performance, and delivering data-backed insights for lab and field tests.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience in design, engineering, test and evaluation of weapon systems components.
• Strong understanding of T&E methodologies and techniques.
• Experience with test equipment and data analysis tools.
• Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills in a TE environment.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles to support instrumentation planning for RDT&E of weapons systems.
• Attends meetings defining test program requirements and assists in pre/post-test accuracy statements.
• Evaluates instrumentation performance under varying environmental conditions.
• Designs strategies and plans instrumentation positioning to enable data acquisition.
• Provides data acquisition inputs to Test Plans with traceability to test objectives.
• Performs project work using engineering practices and develops novel approaches to problems.
• Operates with minimal supervision and seeks guidance for complex problems as needed.
• Reviews assignment objectives and possible solutions for accuracy and completeness.
