Job summary

Trax International seeks a Staff Engineer for Data Acquisition and Analysis at the Potomac River Test Range. You will provide technical interface on PRTR programs, lead training, and oversee testing and evaluation to ensure quality and performance standards.

The role requires 15+ years in T&E of weapon systems, strong MIL-STD knowledge, and a proven ability to mentor staff. A Master’s is preferred and DoD project experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Certified Test Engineer certification desired.
• 15 years of T&E experience with DoD weapon systems.
• Expertise in developing T&E strategies.
• Strong MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 knowledge.
• Experience training and mentoring others.
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced T&E environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical interface on PRTR programs and leadership and training to lower graded personnel in the selection and proper usage of technical approaches and professional practices and procedures.
• Provides innovative and feasible technical approaches to problem resolution and task performance.
• Consults with customers/leadership on unusual problems and developments.
• Independently makes decisions on problems and methods and resolves important technical questions through the use of advanced techniques and the extension or modification of standard practices.
• Conducts analysis and evaluation or design of unique and complex tasks through the development of new or improved methods and procedures.
• Prepares computations/analyses, specifications, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise.
• Plans, designs, coordinates, executes, monitors, evaluates, and reports test and evaluation of materiel with state-of-the-art tech.
• Reviews data collected for completeness, accuracy, and validity.
• Analyses test data and prepares final test reports with conclusions and recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
