Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation is seeking an assembler to place electronic components in a variety of product assemblies supporting military, aerospace, communications, and medical industries.

You will work at an assembly station in a manufacturing setting, collaborating with other assemblers and engineers to ensure devices meet specifications and are free of damage. Quality checks and adherence to procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• IPC J-STD-001 certification is preferred.
• Able to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Able to perform basic math and read measuring devices.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products using instructions, parts lists, drawings, and verbal guidance.
• Position components manually or with hand tools to complete tasks.

Job description

Prepare and place electronic components within a variety of product assemblies, supporting customers in the military, aerospace, communications, and medical industries. Work at an assembly station within the manufacturing setting, collaborating with other assemblers and engineers to ensure that devices are assembled according to specifications. You will be required to conduct quality assurance procedures to determine that electronic devices and components are free of damage and correctly assembled.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings, and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.
• Positions components manually, or via hand tools, in order to complete assigned tasks.
• Operate production machinery as needed.
• Solder/de-solder components in order to assemble final product.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• IPC J-STD-001 Certification for “Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies” preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
• Ability to complete basic mathematics problems and know how to read measuring devices to perform required assembly tasks
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to work within a variety of Microsoft Office products and other computer software applications
