Job summary

People Inc. Group in New York, NY is seeking a Test Lead to oversee QA strategies, automate regression tests, and align testing with business goals. This role collaborates with developers, PMs, and SCRUM teams to ensure high-quality releases.

The candidate will manage test automation across frameworks, debug CI/CD pipelines, and mentor analysts. Hybrid in-office with up to 2 remote days weekly, salary is $130,354 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience creating and running test cases for manual, functional, regression, integration, and compatibility testing.
• 4 years of defect tracking/management with Jira, TestRail or Azure.
• 4 years using test management tools and Agile SDLC knowledge.
• 2 years automated testing with Selenium and Playwright.
• 2 years API testing and data validation with Postman/Swagger.
• 2 years programming/scripting in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 2 years CI/CD exposure with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• 2 years version control with Git.
• 1 year cloud basics and understanding of cloud deployments.
• 1 year performance testing with JMeter or Lighthouse.
• 1 year test reporting/monitoring with Allure, Grafana, Kibana.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and work with developers, PMs and teams to ensure quality releases.
• Analyze testing patterns and communicate insights to managers.
• Monitor application health during/after deployment via logs, metrics and tests.
• Lead efforts to improve test processes across SCRUM teams with managers.
• Debug CI/CD test infrastructure for functional test orchestration.
• Provide feedback on test scenarios to ensure coverage and quality.
• Align testing strategy with business goals for seamless integration.
• Analyze logs with APM tools to identify issues.
• Oversee framework maintenance and automate regression tests across frameworks.
• Identify flaky tests and perform root cause analysis for stability.
• Troubleshoot Jenkins jobs and pipeline errors for continuous delivery.
• Review framework implementations and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in technical recruiting and identify best-fit candidates.
• Design, execute and maintain automated regression tests in JavaScript/TypeScript.
