Job summary

DTCC is seeking a Lead Software Test Engineer in Jersey City to drive automated testing across API, backend, and UI layers. The role emphasizes CI/CD, Java/Python/C#, and strong test automation skills within a collaborative squad.

You will design and implement automated tests, improve testing processes, and ensure comprehensive coverage for regression and integration testing, emphasizing quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in automated unit and integration testing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
• Proficient in test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium and JUnit.
• Familiarity with CI/CD technologies (Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira).
• Strong background in modern scripting language testing.
• Extensive experience in automated testing and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of smoke, functional, non-black box, and regression testing.
• Understanding of unit, integration, and functional testing methodologies.
• Backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate and JDBC/JPA for databases (Oracle/DB2/Snowflake).
• Experience in Java application development.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Java, Python, C#).
• Knowledge of databases and SQL; experience writing SQL queries.
• Familiar with Agile/Waterfall and onsite/offshore coordination.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail; strong communication and collaboration.

• Translate requirements into tangible outcomes; assist in project coordination.
