Job Description: Software Tester/QA Specialist at Echelon Services

Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the daily testing activities to support successful test events.
- Develop and coordinate test strategies and plans with the Government Test Manager, covering work breakdown structure, test architecture, schedule, deliverables, resources, risk assessment, and quality control.
- Serve as liaison between the Test Team, T&E Management, the Government Test Manager, the Product Manager, and Functional Area Management Teams.
- Maintain awareness of issues impacting team assignments and keep relevant managers informed.
- Understand test environment architecture and configuration, providing overall frameworks for tests, including types and objectives.
- Analyze documents to understand test engagement requirements.
- Train and assist other test analysts in developing and executing test cases, scripts, scenarios, and user stories.
- Document and track test events in test management tools.
- Facilitate status meetings, trainings, and strategy meetings to keep the testing team informed and early identify risks.
- Forecast future test scope, complexity, requirements, hours, risks, issues, and assumptions.
- Support application and environment risk assessments, system architecture, software delivery, and scheduling.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or Engineering with at least 2 years of Health IT Testing experience, or 4 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Kanban, or ISTQB Agile Tester Certification.
- Experience managing and leading testing activities for multiple releases in various environments.
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, and tools like Jira.
- Experience with SDLC for ACAT I or III systems is preferred.
- Experience with ITIL and ITSM solutions.
- Proficiency in developing and managing test cases, scripts, scenarios, and user stories.
- Ability to create and use Requirements Traceability matrices.
- Experience designing and conducting tests to meet requirements.
- Subject matter expertise in supporting complex software/hardware applications.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Understanding of DevSecOps concepts.
