Cypress Automation Test lead (Remote)

This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA Automation experience
• Required: 3+ years of Cypress experience with Typescript/JavaScript, PactumJS, API testing
• Proven experience in writing simple to complex queries
• Proven experience in testing different APIs
• Good knowledge on JIRA for writing test cases and test execution
• Working experience in Agile and JIRA
• Nice to have: AWS knowledge, JIRA with Agile experience

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Assess software quality through Cypress/TypeScript automation testing with JavaScript/PactumJS, along with strong SQL knowledge
2. Detect and report bugs and glitches
3. Review and analyze system specifications
4. Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective processes and test plans
5. Implement test cases (manual or automated), and analyze results
6. Evaluate product code according to specifications
7. Build logs to document testing phases and defects
8. Help troubleshoot issues
9. Conduct post-release post-implementation testing
10. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
11. Evaluate API/web services using Postman or SOAP UI

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 24th March, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 and $112,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
