Cypress Automation Test Lead (Remote)

This is a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of QA Automation experience
• At least 3 years of Cypress experience with Typescript/JavaScript, PactumJS, and API testing
• Proven experience in writing simple to complex queries
• Experience testing different APIs
• Good knowledge of JIRA for writing test cases and executing tests
• Experience working in Agile environments with JIRA
• Nice to have: AWS knowledge and Agile experience with JIRA

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Assess software quality through Cypress/TypeScript automation testing with JavaScript/PactumJS, along with strong SQL knowledge
2. Detect and report bugs and glitches
3. Review and analyze system specifications
4. Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective processes and test plans
5. Implement manual or automated test cases and analyze results
6. Evaluate product code according to specifications
7. Build logs to document testing phases and defects
8. Help troubleshoot issues
9. Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
10. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
11. Evaluate API/web services using Postman or SOAP UI

Work Authorization:

Salary and Compensation:

Applications are accepted until March 24, 2025.

The annual salary ranges from $71,100 to $112,500, depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
