Job summary

Ayar Labs in San Jose, CA is seeking a Hardware Engineer for Product & Test Hardware Design to develop probe cards, load boards, and test hardware for production and characterization tests, collaborating with Design and Product teams.

You will work on PCB and circuit design, bring-up, debugging, and support of test equipment, with a strong emphasis on high-speed signaling and optical/electrical interfaces. The role is on-site in San Jose and offers exposure to leading CPO technologies.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent and 1+ year experience designing high-density PCBs.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics and BOMs.
• Experience with probe cards and load boards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop probe cards and load boards for Production Test.
• Create hardware for Characterization Test based on inputs from Product teams.
• Source and validate high-quality probe cards and related circuitry with vendors.
• Perform bring-up and debugging for Test hardware.
• Operate test equipment and troubleshoot optical/electrical issues.
• Provide hardware support to internal teams and external customers.
