Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL seeks a Test Equipment Software Lead to design, develop, and maintain software for on-site factory support of weapon system products. You will lead multi-discipline teams, develop Windows-based solutions in C++, C#, and other languages, and ensure robust, testable software in production environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree with 5–8+ years of related software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C++, C#, Java, Python) and debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in aligning with Raytheon values and behaviors.
• Design, develop and integrate object‑oriented software in C++, C#, and Java in Visual Studio on Windows.
• Prioritize and manage multiple software tasks concurrently.
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation in factory/test platforms.
• Develop software that works in automation production environments with thermo‑ and vibration‑tested solutions.
• Mentor junior/mid‑career engineers and drive consistency across SW teams.
