Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is seeking a Test Engineering Manager in San Diego to plan and manage testing and certification for power conditioning components and related systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in engineering and 11+ years of progressively complex engineering experience.
• Five or more management responsibilities.
• Experience leading test engineering for systems undergoing verification/validation.
• Knowledge of test engineering principles, planning and scheduling.
• Ability to lead and resolve personnel and technical problems.
• Must obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team to achieve objectives and manage cost/schedule.
• Provide IPT leadership coordinating engineering, procurement and test sites.
• Plan and manage test activities to meet quality and business goals.
• Develop proposals, budgets and statements of work.
• Manage subcontractor requirements and master test plans.
• Coordinate test concepts, milestones and schedules.
• Ensure safety and compliance in testing environments.
