Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks an Electrical Engineering (EE) Manager to lead Embedded Systems and Controls for high-power motor drives, laser systems, sensors, and space systems in Rancho Bernardo.

The role involves technical leadership, system architecture generation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, program management, and suppliers, with DoD project experience preferred and a Secret clearance desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in engineering or a related technical field; eleven or more years of experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Experience: mixed-signal circuit design, embedded systems development (processor, microcontroller, FPGA, MPSoC), and hardware systems with digital/analog/RF.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and technically lead an engineering unit through all project phases.
• Develop and implement technical, schedule, quality, and financial objectives.
• Lead concept development, prototype design, integration and test of Embedded Systems and Controls.
