Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Test Engineering Manager 3 for the Roy, UT area. The role leads the Flight Systems Integration and Test Lab, driving hardware-in-the-loop testing, test planning, and certification efforts for missile hardware and software configurations.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership across IPTs, experience with system verification, and a current DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience, Master's Degree and 6 years of experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum of 1 year's experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either a project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
• Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
• Knowledge of system integration and test principles and test plan development at any level of build (unit, sub-system, system, etc.)
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval

Responsibilities

• Lead the Flight Systems Integration and Test Lab operations, including hardware in the loop testing, test planning, and certification efforts
• Interface with US Government customers during Readiness Reviews and Integration Readiness Reviews
• Coordinate design verification decisions with systems engineering and IPTs
• Ensure that design changes in hardware and software are compatible with existing components
• Develop comprehensive design and interface requirements for verification
• Oversee master test plans and integration concepts for Test Like You Fly verification
• Lead data review processes and hold teams accountable for timely review of test data
• Manage personnel, performance, progression, and mentoring within the team
• Facilitate risk management and coordinate with the Missile Integration and Test Director
• Accountable for schedule and cost reporting to upper management
