Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, FL. You will develop and execute test plans for JMPS, create realistic operational test scenarios, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver mission-critical software.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in a technical field with 8+ years of experience or equivalent, excellent communication skills, US citizenship, and an active security clearance. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to develop and execute test plans for complex weapon systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and its life cycle upgrades.
• Create realistic test scenarios to operationally test the mission planning environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure successful delivery of mission-critical software.
• Draft and present technical documents including test plans, assessments, and final reports.
• Provide expert analysis to senior leaders on operational suitability of new software.
• Travel to various locations (10–25%) to support testing and evaluation.
