Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer/Analyst to join a well-established AVMC lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of a tactical missile defense system. You will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and digital representations of complex missile defense systems.

The role emphasizes data analysis, MATLAB tooling, and reporting to briefing audiences across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Direct operational or test experience with Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) is required.
• Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.
• Must have the ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex system behaviors effectively to a broad range of audiences.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts.
• Must have an active secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Common tasks for this position include analysis tool design and development, and complex analysis on missile defense system and/or algorithm performance.
• Develop and maintain test cases to support software integration and system integration.
• Support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, modeling & simulation, post-flight reconstruction, and integration and risk reduction efforts.
• Apply practical engineering knowledge across a broad range of established system engineering principles, concepts, and methods
• Analyze and document results of test cases in software and hardware test report documentation.
• Develop system requirements to support system functionality
