Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, FL. The role focuses on developing and executing test plans for the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and its upgrades, ensuring realistic operational test scenarios and collaborating with a dedicated team of engineers and project managers.

You will draft technical documents, provide analysis on software operational suitability, and present findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience.
• Twelve years of relevant technical experience may substitute for a Master’s Degree.
• Eight years of relevant technical experience and a technical BS Degree accepted instead of a Master’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and its life cycle upgrades.
• Create realistic test scenarios to operationally test the mission planning environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure delivery of mission-critical software.
• Draft and present test plans, operational assessments, and final reports.
• Provide expert analysis and recommendations on the operational suitability of new mission planning software.
• Travel to various locations (10–25%) to support testing and evaluation activities.
