Job summary

Teledyne Micropac in Garland, TX, is seeking a Test Engineer III to develop and maintain automated test equipment and software for high-reliability electronics production, including SSRs, SSPCs, and hybrids.

You will collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to improve yields, document procedures, and support new product introductions while advancing test methodologies using LabVIEW and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is required.
• 6+ years of experience in test engineering or related field is required.
• Experience developing and maintaining test software using NI LabVIEW is required.
• Experience with automated electronic test equipment and instrumentation is required.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic hardware, test systems, and software applications is required.
• Experience supporting manufacturing test operations in a production environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, validate, and document automated test software and hardware used for characterization, qualification, and production testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test software, hardware, fixture, and instrumentation issues.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to investigate yield losses and product performance issues.
• Analyze test data and support root cause investigations for product and process failures.
• Participate in corrective and preventive action activities as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, repeatability, throughput, and reliability.
