Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Test Engineer II to verify and validate software and system-level medical device products. This onsite role collaborates with engineering, quality, and product development teams, traveling ~10–20% to support tests and external facilities.

Responsibilities include developing test strategies, automation, and supporting test infrastructure, with emphasis on quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of relevant experience or higher degrees.
• Knowledge of medical device standards (AAMI/ISO/FDA/EN).
• Experience documenting and executing verification and validation activities for software and/or system-level products.
• Working knowledge of software design, development, debugging, and testing practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification and validation strategies, test plans, protocols, and reports for software and system-level products.
• Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated and manual test solutions.
• Create and maintain test software, tools, fixtures, and test infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements, design documentation, and risk analyses.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and propose corrective actions or improvements.
• Coordinate testing activities, including external facilities, and maintain test equipment.
