Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to support the design, operation, and maintenance of test facilities in Kent. You will lead test operations, troubleshoot fluid and instrumentation systems, and coordinate with internal customers across multiple Blue Origin units.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, project management, and a safety-minded approach to ensure high-quality test outcomes for spaceflight components and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in design, development, or operation of test facilities or similar facilities.
• Knowledge of fluids, cryogenic and monopropellants preferred.
• Ability to understand complex systems and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
• Strong safety mindset and analytical orientation.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, fabricate, install and operate hydrostatic, fluid flow, propellant, pneumatic, or cryogenic test facilities.
• Develop and execute test plans and procedures; perform data reduction and reviews.
• Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, coordinate with internal customers.
• Understand and troubleshoot fluid and instrumentation systems.
• Perform root cause, hazard analysis, and failure investigations.
• Plan and oversee facility maintenance and safety improvements.
