Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop, and validate electronic locking solutions and related software apps.

You will create comprehensive test plans, execute tests, analyze results, and lead reviews to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance. The role requires hands-on hardware/software testing, scripting, and collaboration across disciplines, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronic systems and/or firmware design, development, analysis, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with embedded microcontroller-based systems.
• Experience supporting new product development from concept through production.
• Ability to interpret schematics, engineering requirements, and test data.
• Experience identifying and tracking hardware, firmware, and software defects.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, logic analyzers).
• Strong project management and organizational skills in engineering.
• Cross-functional teamwork and collaboration across product development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans for hardware and software platforms.
• Analyze and communicate test results; manage defect tracking and resolution.
• Lead technical design and program reviews with the team.
• Ensure designs and third-party deliverables meet requirements and quality standards.
• Define and implement test strategies and validation procedures for new and legacy products.
• Perform manual and automated testing of mobile, Windows, and web-based applications.
