Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a Test Engineer to join the NSWCDD Dahlgren team. You will design and maintain automated tests, write test plans linked to requirements, and execute manual and automated testing across levels while collaborating with developers and government customers.

The role requires 2+ years in software/testing, automation proficiency, and strong traceability skills. On-site at NSWCD-Dahlgren with candidate U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code and using Linux environments.
• Proven ability to map requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, descriptions, and cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
