Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Test Administrator to join the Fargo, ND testing center on a part-time basis. You will check in candidates, verify IDs, explain exam procedures, proctor tests, and assist with light housekeeping while maintaining a quiet testing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of customer service, basic Microsoft Office skills, and flexible availability across mornings, afternoons, and occasional Saturdays. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour.

Test Administrator – Test Center Operations (Part-Time) – Fargo, ND

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with eligibility for accrued paid sick time.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all testing procedures and strictly adhere to company policies using careful judgment.
  • Check in testing candidates, verify identification, and explain the exam process.
  • Proctor / invigilate candidates while testing.
  • Troubleshoot with internal departments to fix technical issues.
  • Complete light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming the floors and sanitizing keyboards after each candidate has finished their examination.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Schedule Requirements

Your ideal candidate demonstrates teamwork and is available to work a variety of shifts any day – Monday through Saturday – between the hours of 7:15 am and 8:30 pm, with about two Saturdays per month. Sunday shifts would be infrequent, but a possibility if the need arises.

Must be open to flexible scheduling. While the test center is not open every day, we need someone readily available for morning, afternoon, and occasional Saturdays. This is strictly a part-time position, 10-19 hours per week, with an expectation to work more hours if needed. Schedules are available at least two weeks in advance.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year customer service experience (preferred).
  • Experience proctoring or invigilating exams (highly preferred).
  • Must be flexible in work hours and days.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Beginner to intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and also escort candidates to and from the testing room.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 20 lbs with reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be comfortable in a quiet testing environment, able to hear soft voices, and see details from a distance.
