Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager for Royal Canin in the North Oklahoma City / Wichita, KS area. This field-based role requires living within the territory and traveling 20-30% for conferences and clinics.

The position focuses on executing Vet BU strategy, growing clinic relationships, and delivering data-driven selling to support veterinary teams. 20-30% travel, driver’s license, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address Veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs.
• Build partnerships and work with others to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment in fluid, complex settings.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expense and sales budget; complete CRM and expense reports timely.
