Job summary

PODS is seeking a Storage Center Operations Leader in Peoria, IL to oversee daily operations within a designated territory. You will direct stores and associates, manage routing and driver assignments, and maintain OSHA, DOT, and preventive maintenance programs for equipment.

The role emphasizes talent recruitment and development, performance management, and ensuring safety and brand standards while achieving customer satisfaction targets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college degree preferred or a minimum of 1 year of prior management experience.
• Ability to apply and successfully attain CDL Class B License or higher is preferred.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license from the state in which position is assigned.
• Must be able to obtain PODS forklift certification.
• Possession of a valid DOT medical card is preferred.
• Mechanical ability essential to identify problems with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, identify and retain top talent.
• Provide daily support including coaching and hands-on/ride-along training for associates.
• Support PODS core values (Integrity, Delighting Customers, Engagement, Accountability, Support Through Teamwork).
• Effectively administer PODS performance management process.
• Report employee issues to Territory Manager and Regional HRBP; maintain communication with HR for personnel reports and evaluations.
• Provide regular communication to team members on goals, results, opportunities for improvement and key focus areas.
• Ensure daily pre-shift meetings are conducted at each Storage Center.
• Manage customer experience to meet or exceed PODS CSAT and DSAT goals; follow up on issues and provide remedial training.
• Ensure associates meet brand standards (uniforms, containers, equipment) and customer interactions.
• Manage all corporate owned assets within territory; coordinate daily routing and ETA/JPH performance; assign shifts based on needs.
• Coordinate repairs with Territory Manager; ensure paperwork and payment packets are returned from the field.
