Job summary

North American Slate, the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, seeks a Sales Representative with drive and strategic vision to grow our slate business in the Southeast region. You will identify new customers, meet with contractors and architects, negotiate terms, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.

Travel up to 50% across GA, NC, SC, VA, TN, with local VA candidates preferred. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in outside sales (construction-related a plus) are

• Three years of outside sales experience required.
• Prefer construction-related background.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers and build lasting partnerships.
• Meet contractors, suppliers, and architects and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to close.
• Provide regular reporting to leadership on sales and projects.
• Forecast and monitor pipeline to hit sales targets.
• Manage leads in territory, send information and samples, coordinate logistics.
• Estimate, quote and analyze costs to competitively sell slate products.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, presentation, negotiation and post-sale service.

Join the sales team at North American Slate, the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, one of the leading international producers of premium quality slate roofing and products for the design of aesthetic living spaces.

We are seeking a Sales Representative with drive, new ideas, creativity and foresight to help us shape the future of North American Slate.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management.

What we are looking for:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree

Field of Study Preferred:

Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Required Work Experience:

Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related

No re-location offered.

• $65,000 to $100,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
