Job summary

Flow Control Group in California is seeking a results-driven sales professional to lead territory development in industrial automation. You will plan and execute strategies to win new customers while expanding existing accounts, collaborating with product specialists to tailor control and automation solutions.

The role requires strong presentation and communication skills, deep knowledge of valves and instrumentation, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial automation, process control, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of valves, instrumentation, flow control, and automation products.
• Proven ability to manage a sales territory and meet/exceed quotas.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet or exceed assigned sales goals.
• Prospect and cultivate new customer relationships within the region or vertical market.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through visits and solution-based selling.
• Collaborate with internal product specialists and vendors to deliver customized control and automation solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to decision-makers and engineering teams.
• Stay up-to-date on product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activity.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities using CRM software.
• Provide input on market and customer feedback to sales leadership and product management.
