Job summary

Mohawk Industries seeks an entry-level Territory Manager to drive sales in Athens and surrounding cities. You will discover new customers, develop markets, and serve as the principal selling agent to meet the company’s business plan objectives.

You will perform sales calls, present to clients, quote prices, take orders, and close transactions while providing excellent customer service. Travel will be 75%–100% domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree a plus.
• 1-3 years of progressively responsible work related experience and any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job;

Responsibilities

• Perform sales calls, including traveling to customers and potential customers’ facilities, sharing information and supporting, presenting to clients, quoting prices, taking orders and closing transactions.
• Provide customer service to ensure resolution of issues within marketing policies.
• Communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments as necessary.
• Monitor territory performance against objectives and take strategic action to improve results.
• Provide product feedback to product line managers and customer service to help achieve company goals.
• Assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory with the District Manager and ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide timely field activity reporting and reports to assist business and product planning.
• Develop territory coverage plan defining support type and contact frequency to meet goals.
• Analyze regional opportunities and develop sales forecasts and relevant reports.
