Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for Utah and Nevada to grow agency relationships and increase GEICO and GEICO-affiliated products’ profitability within assigned territories. The role requires strong relationship building, sales leadership, and ability to travel frequently.

Position involves interviewing and approving new appointments, delivering trainings, and managing agent performance across UT and NV. Overnight travel around 40% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales or relevant insurance sales experience.
• Prior experience with driving sales results.
• Prior experience working with different lines of insurance a plus (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health).
• Compliance with GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prospects, interviews, and approves new appointments to expand GEICO’s agency distribution.
• Consult agents within a designated area of responsibility using in person, virtual, phone, and email to build relationships, deliver trainings, and manage agency performance.
• Implements policies and procedures of the agency program.
• Takes national strategic initiatives and translates them into local goals and objectives; GAINS commitment and holds agents accountable for execution.
• Monitors the performance of agents in relation to goals, procedures, and guidelines.
• Counsels agents, and with leadership support, takes disciplinary action of agents up to and including termination.
• Delivers effective communications; assists agencies in developing local marketing plans and strategies to meet growth goals.
