Job summary

Hood Distribution seeks an Outside Sales Representative to grow our paint and stain business across the eastern US markets, including the Memphis area. You will manage existing accounts, develop new customers, and promote ML Campbell paints and stains to cabinet, millwork, and construction sectors.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of paint industry sales, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to close deals.

Qualifications

• 1-3 yrs in paint and stain industry or related sales experience.
• Fluent in industry terminology and able to identify decision makers to drive sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and persuasive skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning daily calls.
• Present, promote and sell Hood Distribution products to cabinet/millwork and construction sectors.
• Tailor presentations based on current trade factors and customer needs.
• Drive sales volume by analyzing customer potential and preparing compelling proposals.
• Submit orders using price lists and literature; monitor competition and market trends.
• Prepare reports on activity, results, and territory analyses for management.
• Resolve customer issues with effective problem solving and timely follow-up.
