Ayer Sales, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to cover RI, CT, VT and Western MA. You will travel within the territory, meet customers in person, and drive sales growth through value-based selling.

You will build lasting relationships, create customized proposals, and manage margins while collaborating with Flow Control Group’s broader network of suppliers and customers. Strong communication, organization, and self-motivation are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in field sales and building client relationships.
• Ability to travel within territory and drive a personal vehicle.
• Strong knowledge of company products and competitive landscape.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person sales coverage for assigned territory using a personal vehicle.
• Develop maximum sales potential through competitive strategies and product knowledge.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing accounts and grow base.
• Contact customers by phone, mail, or in person; meet sales goals.
• Create customized proposals to meet customer requirements.
• Manage profit margins within company guidelines.
• Respond promptly to customer requests.
• Utilize company leads to expand customer base and follow up.
• Maintain organized files on accounts and submit sales reports.
• Provide monthly documentation of proposals status.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Travel required; some overnight travel may be required.
