Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Frederick, MD to be the voice and initial contact for customers. You will apply consultative sales skills to understand needs and convert opportunities into loyal customers, traveling to facilities and construction sites within your geographic territory.

You will develop relationships with existing accounts, prospect new businesses, collaborate with specialty divisions to promote cross-selling, and use Salesforce and other CRM tools to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographic territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiary companies.
• Prospect and qualify new accounts from existing accounts, dormant or non-customer accounts.
• Collaborate with specialty division representatives to promote cross selling to accounts wherever possible.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies and develop presentations of products and services.
• Utilize Salesforce.com and other CRM Tools to develop pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
