Job summary

Louisiana Cat is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to cover the Lake Charles territory and drive the sale of CAT equipment management solutions. You will build strong customer relationships, assess needs, and close opportunities across a defined geography.

You will become a subject matter expert on CAT products and financing options, collaborate with the Sales Management team, and utilize CRM tools to track activity and revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field is required.
• Strong technical, mechanical and business aptitude is required.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
• 2–3 years outside product sales experience is highly preferred.
• CRM experience (Salesforce.com) is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar product lines and heavy equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a sales professional for customer accounts in the defined territory.
• Pursue, build, maximize and close sales transactions in the territory.
• Develop subject matter expertise on customer financing, licensing, warranty, and invoicing.
• Collaborate with Sales Management / General Manager to set monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
• Achieve sales targets by maximizing loyalty and repeat business.
• Provide detailed sales reports and customer invoices to Louisiana Cat.
